The Glitter Phone Case

For a while now I have wanted to make a glitter phone case. I have seen a lot of different tutorials for the best way to make one, the only reason I hadn't made one yet, was because I couldn't decide on which method.

At the weekend I was shopping in town with a close friend, whilst in River Island I saw a selection of phone  cases. I thought that with the right materials it would be easy to reproduce (teaser), after playing around with a plain case at home, I decided to go with GLITTER.

What I used: 1 white phone case bought from eBay for £1.95, choice of colors in glitter, Aleene's Tacky Glue, piece of foil, a spoon which can be ruined, sponge or paint brush.

How I did it: I mixed glitters; blue, purple, pink and silver. Then  mixed equal quantities of glue and glitter, using the sponge I applied a coat of the glue glitter to the case. When it is first applied it doesn't look right, but just roll with it. Once the first coat has dried apply another coat of glue glitter mix.

(wet case)

As the glue and glitter are mixed in equal parts, rather than the alternative method of covering the case in glue then sprinkling glitter over the top. The glitter does not fall off the case, and you can mix the glitters or fade them.

I took inspiration from the blog Macarons and Stilettos.

The (almost) final product:

I can't decide if I want to add a bow or some flowers to the case....
