Leopard Print Case

My last few bling blog posts have been out a case I have been in the process of making for a close friend of mine. I can now blog about the finished item as she hasn't been reading my blog and has been advised not to read any blog until she comes down to Bath for her Birthday.

As some of you might have already read the first time I attempted to do the case it was mostly finished before I had a problem with super glue which ruined the case and I had to start all over again. But as the common saying going 'practice makes perfect', within three sit ins of working on the case it is finished and I am really happy with it.

On the first attempt I started by making the template:
then filled out the brown and black gems first then filled in the background with gold gems. However after a problem with super glue it ended like this.

In my second attempt I started by applying gems from left to right. This worked a lot better, and have now finished the case which is ready for the presentation. I finished it on Sunday and had a few gems I was not happy with but could pop them off and replace them and this is the finished item:
