Meat. Music. Mayhem. Grillstock Bristol

Today me and my friend went to Jenn went to Grillstock Festival in Bristol. From my first understanding it was a BBQ food competition and there would be a lot of meat and music. We were not disappointed.

We planned out what we wanted to eat and see then went out to find these things.

We ate pulled pork, mango and chilli chicken with slaw, churros, pulled pork hot dogs and a selection of samples. I also tried beef, for the first time in 11 years, and I still don't like it.

We watched a chilli eating competition, I struggled to watch all of it and focused on Jenn's reaction, to the amusement of the people behind us. To our delight the only woman who entered won! As the chilli eating (and vomming) came to end so did the sunshine. It went from being beautiful sunshine to heavy heavy rain, we committed to queuing to get a meal to take home and got SOAKED! But it was all in the name of a delicious meal.

For a first time it was great to be able to scope out the place and test the goods. It was agreed that next time we will go on the Saturday to watch hot dog eating competitions. Also great news a Grillstock Smoke House is opening in Bath.....this could be dangerous.
