So it has been a while

It has been a very long time since I last posted anything, but I have kept crafting so have a lot of creations to write about. First a seasonal one: the gingerbread house!

This was rather stressful as I was giving it to my boyfriends parents as a Christmas present. I wanted it to be perfect.

I am really happy with the design and timely manner I put it together.

I highly recommend that if you're considering making a gingerbread house this Christmas period then do it! There is enough help online and luckily for me friends who came to my rescue.

My gingerbread house tips:
1) use melted sugar as glue. It is stronger than icing so don't have to worry about falling.
2) leave a day between baking, gluing and decoration. Everything needs time to set especially before travelling.
3) Practise makes perfect. This is the second gingerbread house and I am much more happy with it (who knows what will be created next year).
4) Pinterest might be the best recommendation that was made to me this year, it has a lot of recipes, tips, templates and decoration ideas.
