T-shirt Reconstruction

On Monday I am moving out of my current house, in with friends for 10 days, then into my new flat! So I am currently in the process of packing which gives me the joy of going through all my clothes, trinkets and books.

Whilst going through my clothes I came across quite a bundle of t-shirts and dresses I haven't worn in a while. I have a pile of clothes which are going to the charity, a pile for E-bay and a pile for reconstruction.

I had recently been browsing on Pinterest and came across an easy way to update an old t-shirt. I took me about 20 minutes to complete this:

  • I cut the back neckline level with the front, kept the left over material
  • cut 4 slits in the back of the t-shirt
  • folded the top and bottom of the slits together, sewed them together.
  • used the left over material (from step 1) to cover the fold to make a bow effect.
I am planning on wearing a bright Aztec print top underneath, or matching it with bright vests.
