DIY Storage Box

Yesterday me and my sister went to finish our Christmas shopping, whilst in TKMaxx I saw a storage box which was decorated with wrapped up pages from a magazine. However the inside of this box did look like a shoe box, cost £10 and I thought I could make it, so today I have started to make my storage box.
This is the kinda thing I am talking about:

So far I have spent nothing on this box, I had an old shoe box lying around, a lot of old magazines and a pritt stick at home.

Instead having thing strips of magazine paper I decided to roll the paper to give it texture. To do this I used paper from the middle of the magazine to get the right length so the paper didn't over lap itself. I then cut it into a triangle shape and started to roll it once I had covered one side in glue.

I then made enough to cover a side of the box and stuck them on with a lot more glue. So far I have covered two sides of the box: 

Once I have finished the whole box I will add more up close photos, so you can see the detail.
