The Complete Twilight Saga.

A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to find another Twihard who wanted to go and see the full Twilight Saga in the cinema which would lead up to the midnight showing of the very final film.

Yesterday we dedicated a full 12 hours to Twilight. I was surprised at how easy it was to sit and watch five films back to back, I thought at points it would be very difficult but I happily surprised. If I knew I was going to see the complete saga I would have watched less twilight over the last 12 months in prep. Even though I have seriously over watched Twilight Breaking Dawn part 1, I still really enjoyed it.

It was the first time I have done a midnight showing of a Twilight film and I was very excited for it. Watching the other four films back-to-back heightened my excitement for the conclusion, and it was an epic conclusion to a saga I have given a lot of time, sweat and tears. One thing that annoyed me, which will be missed in normal viewings, was an interview just before part two was screened which informed us all the end was a big twist and different to the book. I was to involved in the film to think about when it was going to finish but I feel the big twist and end of the film was made less shocking because we had been told, it was almost like a sigh of relief. It would have been a lot more shocking if we weren't aware of the twist. Anyway, I was still an emotional mess when the film finished.

One problem I had from watching all the films in one sit in was that the constant romance and happiness (after New Moon) was really getting to me, and when Eclipse started I was more than ready for a big battle. I needed to be dragged back down into reality where vampires do not exisit and fall in love with weak humans..."and the lion fell in love with the lamb...What a stupid lambs, what a sick masochistic lion". I needed some serious reminder that once you saved your boyf from the Volturi and let him know you didn't kill yourself, it was because his sister can't see the future through a wolf (oh yeah, and your BFF is a wolf), then you get engaged and have a stunning wedding. *no I said I need a serious reminder that this doesn't happen* -- After three films I was feeling very involved with this love story that I already knew backwards. I had to keep reminding myself that this was a film based on a novel. It would never happen. There is no Edward Cullen, and it was something that I was not taking well.

After crashing back down to reality it was time to enjoy the rest of the films. Luckily Jen, who I had gone with was also having this crash as well.
